Since 1993, I have maintained a trial practice representing
people who have been injured in car crashes, by defective products, or in the
workplace. I also have extensive experience in business litigation and construction
law involving complex scientific and technical issues. My experience ranges
from representing individuals to multinational engineering firms in state and
federal court and before arbitration panels from Maine
to California. I now focus solely on representing injured
individuals.
The increase in U.S. military activity abroad has
created a new kind of casualty: The injured civilian worker. So recently, I
have begun representing civilian workers injured as U.S. military
subcontractors abroad. These workers are covered by the Defense Base Act, an
extension of the Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act. I help these
workers deal with the complex benefit system in which they find themselves.
Outside the courtroom, I enjoy bicycling, Nordic skiing,
running, and coffee; most of all I enjoy time with my family.
